A Glowing Extended Family Session

There is something incredibly special about photographing extended family sessions - especially when I’ve had the joy of capturing previous milestones. This sunny May session was a beautiful reunion with familiar faces and a few new ones, set against a glowing spring green backdrop in Joplin, Missouri.

I first met the Bennish family back 2021 when I had the honor of photographing Chris and Kate’s wedding. It was a celebration filled with so much genuine joy and laughter! Fast-forward to this spring, and I was thrilled to reconnect with the entire family.

The evening light filtering through the lush green trees made for the perfect dreamy spring setting to pair with their pallet of blues and white .

Extended family sessions like these are always such a meaningful reminder of why I love what I do. It’s about more than just capturing a few pretty photos - it’s about preserving the relationships and stories that make life so rich.
